A running Triumph beats a pretty one every time.

We are a vintage Triumph shop in Costa Mesa. We fix old bikes and design workwear both with the goal in mind of making them built to last.

Workwear we wear ourselves.

We looked everywhere for workwear that fit in with the bikes we ride, and we kept striking out. So we started making it ourselves. Heavy fabrics, seams that hold up, cuts that don’t fight you when you’re under a bike.

Your Triumph, back on the road.

Tune-ups, top ends, full rebuilds. If it’s a ’60s or ’70s Triumph twin, we’ve probably had it apart. We ride and race what we work on, so we know which parts break first and which ones hold up under hard use.

Elliot Delapre, founder of Le Hangar 23, sat on a vintage Triumph Bonneville.

From a farm in France to a shop in Costa Mesa.

I built my first “motorcycle” at thirteen, from a pressure washer engine, a pile of scrap, and more confidence than skill. The welds snapped before I made it off the block. I walked it home and started over.

“The welds snapped but I was hooked.”

Le Hangar 23 is named after two airplane hangars on my grandfather’s farm in France. He taught me how to make things with my hands. Pretty much everything since has come from that.
